Click! Cable TV receives national customer service award

Click! Cable TV has earned the 2011 Independent Customer Service Award from CableFAX, a national telecommunications industry publication that annually honors cable TV operators. Thousands of independent cable companies are eligible for the award, which recognizes exemplary customer service.

"What's most remarkable about this honor is that an independent municipal operator like Click! Cable TV would get selected in an industry of telecom giants," said Mitch Robinson, Click!'s marketing and business operations manager. "Our staff takes incredible pride in offering the best customer service possible and it's great to be acknowledged in this way."

Click! Cable TV does more than just strive to provide outstanding customer service. The cable television provider also offers Cable 101 workshops for customers who need a personalized approach to learn about new technology and offers hundreds of hours of free, exclusive, local video-on demand-programming.

"Congratulations to the Click! Cable TV staff members who are clearly dedicated to serving their customers' needs with the industry's best practices, said Michael Grebb, executive editor of CableFAX. Click! Cable TV and The Doobie Brothers team up to salute military families "Far From Home"

Click! Cable TV is proud to salute local military families by teaming up with The Doobie Brothers to offer the music video from their new hit song, "Far From Home, on video-on-demand. The video features a special introduction taped exclusively for Joint Base Lewis-McCord and Tacoma area residents. The song, written to describe, from a parent's perspective, the bittersweet moment when a son or daughter leaves home for the first time, also features real scenes of military families reuniting."We held a contest where we invited people to send in their home videos that portrayed the tune and the winners had their clips and photos featured in our video," said The Doobie Brothers founder and vocalist Pat Simmons. "Some of the most effective videos were those of military families," he added. "Their separation being a very contemporary subject, we realized then that the song addressed a broader audience. It wasn't just about our kids going away to school or leaving home. It was as much about other families' experiences, particularly the military."Click! Cable TV is the only cable TV system in the country to offer the music video to its customers with a special personalized open that can be accessed on Click! Cable TV via channel 700 (video on demand ) > Doobie Bros. Salute. "I'm a fan of The Doobie Brothers and appreciative of their long-standing commitment to military families," said Mitch Robinson, marketing and business operations manager for Click! "When the video was released, it seemed like a perfect fit for our area."
