Click! Cable TV Partners with Tacoma Stars Soccer
Click! Cable TV and the Tacoma Stars partner to bring professional soccer to local fans. Beginning November 24, Tacoma Stars’ opening match is available for viewing exclusively on Click! Cable TV’s free local video on demand service. All home matches will be available to watch anytime a customer with a digital receiver wants to view them, within one week from play schedule.

The Tacoma Stars franchise was founded in 1982 as part of the original Major Indoor Soccer League. For ten years the team set records and put Tacoma on the map. The franchise lay dormant until 2008 when the team was revived by Soccer Center owner, Marian Bowers.

“Our partnership with Click! is important to the team and the entire soccer community,” said  Bowers. “We’re thrilled that our own local cable company is supporting our move into the pro division.”

Indoor soccer is fast-paced and physically intense. Stars Head Coach and Tacoma native, Greg Howes has been a part of soccer in the South Sound for over twenty years. He’s groomed a mix of former recreational league players, local high school standouts and college players into a semi-pro team in 2009 and now they’re ready to step up to the pros.
